Hello, I'm Aika
And welcome to my website!
Understanding and helping others has been a lifelong passion of mine. Whilst clinical practice is, and will always be, at the heart of my work, I have spent years exploring psychology through writing, illustration, education, research, and consultancy with mental health technology companies, charities, and academic institutions.
Many of these projects have become resources for other psychologists and curious minds, while others have simply been ways of creating things I enjoy and following questions about human life that I find interesting.
This website brings together my clinical work, professional background, and some of the psychological projects I have developed along the way.

Over the past decade, I have worked in clinical practice across the NHS, private practice, and international healthcare settings in Oxford, London, and most recently, Doha.

A little bit about me
I was born and raised in Hong Kong before moving to the UK for university, where I lived, studied and trained for over a decade. In 2024, I took a leap into the Middle East, and now live and work in Doha.
Outside of clinical psychology, I spend my free time reading, writing, meditating, drawing illustrated resources and practising yoga. I have a deep interest in Buddhist philosophy and practice, Jungian psychology, existential philosophy (basically, all the weird and wonderful ways people have tried to make sense of being human).
These interests are simply part of who I am, but they also continue to shape my curiosity about psychology, creativity and the human experience.
